Sleepsleep’s Insane Run
Sleepsleep is a producer/EDM Artist/DJ based in LA. If you look at his discography, you’ll notice that he’s only been releasing music for over two years. Additionally, you’ll see that he only has five songs to his name. However, despite these facts, Sleepsleep has accumulated over 1.5 million streams and over 40,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. Sleepsleep is proving he’s not a one-hit-wonder by going on this unbelievable run in his past five releases.
His second-most trending song, “Using Machines,” is his most recent release. He put out the song in late September of 2022, reaching over 70,000 streams and about 500 streams away from 80,000 at the time of writing this. In comparison, his first song, “Gimme That Bass,” in October of the previous year, sits at just over 83,000 streams. So, based on numbers alone, “Using Machines” is clearly worth talking about.
“Using Machines” is a song that can be played at any event. So this song is perfect for both, whether at a gigantic party/rave or just in your car with a couple of friends looking to turn up. When making music, the artist has to understand musical structure. Whether it be a historical classical composer back in the day or modern EDM artists of today, both have to understand how to structure their songs. On “Using Machines,” Sleepsleep displays his prowess and knowledge of song structure by immediately exposing the high-intensity track, letting it fall out, and then ramping it up again. His music creates this adrenaline-like feeling, but he arguably does it the best on his latest track.
