SKAIWATER DROPS DEBUT MIXTAPE, “RAVE”

Skaiwater’s music is like no other and he further proves this fact this week, dropping debut mixtape, rave. Skaiwater has been making noise for the past few years, working with both Lil Nas X and Lil Uzi Vert and holding multiple songs on the Top 10 US Songs on TikTok. Skai also earned himself a feature in YouTube’s Trending Artist on the Rise.

With hits like “eyes”, “a lie”, “miles” and the “miles remix featuring Lil Uzi Vert, skai is poised for success. His new project, rave, connotes a multitude of genres and sounds including R&B, EDM, and Jersey club.

“It focuses almost entirely on love & drugs, playing like a mix between 2011 era edm and r&b,” skaiwater says about the project. "rave is a project named after the environment I imagined the music to be played in when i put it together at the beginning of 2022.”  Skai is currently on tour with Lil Nas X, performing on the European leg of his “Long Live Montero Tour '' in cities like London, Paris & Berlin – tickets available here. He met Lil Nas X on Twitter and the two became friends and collaborators—eventually garnering a writing credit on Nas’ 2020 hit “Holiday.” Lil Uzi Vert recently remixed Skai’s hit, miles, and has reportedly taken a special interest in helping him further develop as both an artist and producer.

With rave, skaiwater proves himself to be one of the most daring and innovative artists in the field. His sound is like no other, smooth and thumping, with relatable and honest lyrical themes. He has a genre-bending sound that is hard to describe in words, its best left to the listener to digest and classify the music on their own.

“I hope my listeners can hear that I’m trying to give them my best, as well as something new, genuine, and vulnerable every time I put a project out,” skai concluded. You can find rave on all major streaming services and make sure to check out the video for “boys don’t cry”, a fan favorite off of rave, below.
