VITUHMINS VIP: Alex Hallerman

Vituhmins VIP is off to a great start! Alex Hallerman joins us as our first VIP guest. Alex is a talented entrepreneur and music manager. At 28 years old, Alex has made a name for himself while managing incredibly talented individuals in the music industry. The recent graduate of Chapman University currently resides in Los Angeles, where he runs his music company 1to1 Management. We got the honor to catch up with Alex and we are excited to feature him as this week's Vituhmins VIP.

Interview:

David: “Thank you for joining us Alex. You have been absolutely killing it this year with your music company 1to1 management. How did you get started in music?”

Alex: “My younger brother Ethan is a producer/DJ and I'd be going with him to all these shows in LA at places like Exchange, Sound, Avalon...and I was just in awe of everything that was going on behind the curtains. There'd be a lot of promoters, managers, and even agents at these electronic shows and I just wanted to get involved so I asked one of his friends, a manager, how to get started and I was just told: find an artist and help them grow. Ethan happened to come across this incredibly talented rapper in a Twitch chat room and we just connected, ran with it at full throttle, and now I'm here.”

David:  “Who do you currently work with?”

Alex: “I currently manage three guys: gavn!, Jakebreh, and H4LFTIME. gavn! is a singer/songwriter from the PNW that has one of the most incredible voices I've ever heard, Jakebreh is a producer from Palm Springs currently working with Trevor Daniel on his next project, and H4LFTIME is a songwriter/engineer/artist himself who's been crucial to the development of his good friend Iann Dior's career.”

David: “Tell us a little bit about your journey in the music industry so far!”

Alex: “Always planning and things never going according to plan. It's been exhilarating to say the least and I'm not gonna lie that there were definitely times I second guessed if this was the right path but I've been blessed by the incredible people around me that continue to push themselves and me forward every single day. I think I'm honestly just getting started.”

David: “What has been one of your favorite moments?”

Alex: “When I decided to post my first Tiktok video after having an account for 6 months but doing nothing with it. That video gained millions of views in the first 48 hours and essentially helped fast forward gavn!'s career to where he absolutely deserves to be. That video was posted just over a year to the date it was recorded and it actually was the first time our team met gavn! in person so it's super special to us.”

David: “Are there any projects that you are currently excited about?”

Alex: “Definitely! Everything I mentioned previously is exciting and we have a lot of cool things coming soon.”

David: “Do you have any advice for young people looking to get into the music industry?”

Alex: “Have fun with it--I look forward to waking up everyday and getting to do what I do. I think it's important to be passionate about what you are doing, and in my case--the people I work with and for. Maintain and cherish that magic for as long as you can because people get burnt out so it's all about balance while maintaining the hustle.”

David: “Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years?”

Alex: “Right here still doing the same damn thing.”
